We have been very busy around here. Among graduations and end of school year festivities, we have been packing up our house in preparation of our new adventure. We are moving back to our hometown area! About a year ago, we bought a foreclosed house that sat empty for years and needs lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of work. The past year we have been traveling six hours each way on weekends we had free to work on running water and a few other things so as to make it livable. Now, we will be living in the house as we work on it. Although it will take time, we look forward to making this house into our home. I will post pics soon. But for now, I will leave you with this one. The HOME pillows were my 1st Etsy purchase, here.

Bake Sale!
Our son's class held a couple of bake sales toward the end of the school year to help cover the cost of graduation, gifts for our church and school, and their end of year school day trip. Brice helped make the spring colored cakepops and Hailey helped with the peanut butter M&M cookies. I made the flower shaped candy coated pretzels and bread loaves. These simple baked items were dressed up with packaging, so as to make them much more pleasing to the eye. I used leftover burlap ribbon from another project and stamped the thank you labels. Then, I wrote the prices on sale tags to give them an older general store type look. I used ribbon to tie the labels and tags together. They turned out great and sold quickly!

Teacher Gifts
It's so easy to get caught up in all of the ideas on Pinterest. I was able to find many creative ways to show our appreciation for the wonderful teachers. (We made flower pots like this last year, and I really want to try this). I combined a few concepts to come up with a gift that fit what I had in mind for this year. We purchased basic pots and Chris painted them black and white with acrylic paint. I, then, stenciled the design with the same acrylic paint and wrote with a black paint marker. I could have stenciled the writing too, but wanted a more personal handmade look. After waiting for the paint to dry, I hot glued the ribbon and attached a bow to the top of the planter. (Hailey always wears a hair pretty in her hair; so, the bow was a great way to express a part of her for the gifts). We put sponges in the pots, filled them with potting soil, and planted white geraniums. These were inexpensive, easy to do, and turned out great!

Brice Graduation
Our youngest sweet baby boy graduated from 8th grade on friday! Time really does pass sooooo quickly. We went through old pictures of Brice for the class slideshow that was presented during the reception, after graduation. It is, truly, amazing to see how fast our babies grow. So, don't blink. Keep your eyes wide open. Take lots of pics! You don't want to miss a thing! We are sharing some from his special day.
Congratulations to our sweet baby boy!
