Teacher Gifts

It's so easy to get caught up in all of the ideas on Pinterest. I was able to find many creative ways to show our appreciation for the wonderful teachers. (We made flower pots like this last year, and I really want to try this). I combined a few concepts to come up with a gift that fit what I had in mind for this year. We purchased basic pots and Chris painted them black and white with acrylic paint. I, then, stenciled the design with the same acrylic paint and wrote with a black paint marker. I could have stenciled the writing too, but wanted a more personal handmade look. After waiting for the paint to dry, I hot glued the ribbon and attached a bow to the top of the planter. (Hailey always wears a hair pretty in her hair; so, the bow was a great way to express a part of her for the gifts). We put sponges in the pots, filled them with potting soil, and planted white geraniums. These were inexpensive, easy to do, and turned out great!
