Strawberry Icecream Shortcake

I wanted to share with you our Easter dessert! We still had strawberry heart shape icecream left over from Hailey's birthday party. (To see how we made the shapes out of icecream, you can read about them in Happy Birthday Part 2 ). We wanted to use what we had and we couldn't see the shape of the icecream, as it was covered in cream, glaze, and strawberries, but you could, very easily, make bunny shapes for Easter or any other shape to fit your theme. Although we made these up for Easter, this dessert may, also, be a great idea for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, or, even, a simple summer dessert.

Blue Easter and Spring Porch 2013

Wow, the weather here has been challenging! Between snowstorms and rainstorms, it was quite difficult to decorate our porch for Easter. So, I took pics of the porch for our blue spring and Easter decor; but, needless to say, some of the decor did not stay out on the porch. I, certainly, hope the weather changes for the better soon!

I like to coordinate the porch with the parlor because
it's the first room you enter from the porch.

Blue Spring and Easter 2013

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. We sure did! In my last post I showed you our Yellow Spring and Easter. This post you get to see our blue spring and Easter. We, generally, decorate in neutral tones. Then, I am able to change out the pillows, flowers, throws, and candles to update the season or holiday.

Hailey set this Easter display up all by herself.

Yellow Spring and Easter 2012

This blog post, I thought I would share last year's spring and Easter decor. Our home is decorated in neutral tones which makes decorating for the change of seasons and holidays an easy task. I only need to change out the pillows, candles, and flowers to reflect the seasons. I, then, am able to add a few trinkets to make our home holiday ready.

A little side note: The purple coat that Hailey is wearing was Lexie's when she was Hailey's age. Ah, memories.....

Hope all of you had a wonderful Easter!
