Just A Little Organizing

I thought I would share some of our past projects before I share present or future projects. Do you have an area in your home that is just not working? Our pantry was a mess! There were not enough shelves to suit our needs. Items were stacked on top of other items which made retrieving things we needed difficult. Something had to be done. So, we purchased shelving, brackets, paint, and tension rods (an idea I saw on Pinterest). We decided to paint the new shelves white because the original shelves were already white and we didn't want the pantry to be dark. The idea was to add more shelving to work within the space that was already there. And now, we have this!

The Pinterest idea really worked!

I'm loving our organized pantry!

Kitchen Shelves

I thought I would show you some past projects before I show you present or future projects. We needed more storage in the kitchen and needed to work with the existing space and layout. So, after we picked out the material, chose the trim, and decided on which supports to use, Chris built two shelves. He, then, painted them white to brighten up the area and serve as a backdrop to the items that would be stored on the shelves. And, now, everything is within reach! No more carrying buckets up from the basement when we need to use one of the items!

Pink!

I thought I would share some past projects before I share present or future projects. When we were making our daughter, Hailey, a big girl room, I needed to fill the space above Hailey's bed and loved a painting I saw in one of my favorite retail catalogs. It was the perfect color and I could personalize it with Hailey's name. However, I had more space to fill than one painting. So, I decided I needed three paintings and would use Hailey's initials.
Then, our daughter, Lexie, got to work.

Lexie painted three paintings for Hailey.

They fit perfectly!

We are so fortunate to have children with many talents.

And with the leftover paint, Lexie made this painting for Hailey.
